“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28 (NIV)

Dear Sister,

I see you.

You’ve been carrying more than anyone knows. Smiling when you’re breaking. Showing up when you’d rather disappear. Nodding “I’m fine” when everything inside you says “I’m not.”

You’re tired — not just in your body, but in your soul.

Tired of being strong.
Tired of pretending.
Tired of pushing through pain that others overlook.
Tired of fighting battles that no one claps for.

But here’s what I need you to know, Sister:

You’re allowed to rest.

You’re allowed to lay it down.
You’re allowed to not have all the answers.
You’re allowed to stop performing and just be.

God never asked you to carry it all — He asked you to come.

Come as you are.
Come with the tears you can’t explain.
Come with the heaviness that has no name.
Come into the gap — and know that you’re not alone here.

The Lord isn’t waiting on your perfection. He’s not impressed by your performance. He’s moved by your presence — and He wants to sit with you in the quiet and say:
“You’re still mine. Even now. Especially now.”

So breathe, sis. Cry if you need to. Exhale the weight.
You don’t have to prove anything to anyone.
You’re not just tired — you’re treasured.

Rest is not weakness. Rest is worship.

Even Jesus rested.

And now, so can you.

Love,
Another Sister in the Gap
